何も咲かない寒い日は、下へ下へと根を伸ばせ。やがて大きな花が咲く。
痛みはがんばって乗り越えていくものではない消えていくのを待つもの。
You don't overcome pain by putting forth effort; you wait for it to go away.

一念発起は誰でもする。努力までならみんなする。そこから一歩抜き出るためには、努力の上に辛抱という棒を立てろ。この棒に花が咲く。
Everybody sets his mind on succeeding. Everybody makes an effort to succeed. To go beyond that, you need the rod of endurance. That rod will bear flowers.
