人生 （Life）
人の一生は重き荷物を負うて遠き道をゆくがごとし。重荷が人をつくるのじゃぞ。身軽足軽では人は出来ぬ。
Life can be compared to going along a long road, bearing a heavy burden. That burden makes a person what he is. You don't build character by shirking burdens and skipping along light-footedly.

生かされているのですから素直に有り難いと思いましょう。生きている値打があるから生かされているのですもの。
一日は短い単位の一生、一生は長い単位の一日。一日を一生の如く真剣に生き、一生を一日の如く気楽に生きたい。
One day is a short lifetime; one lifetime is a long day. I want to live each day with all my might, as if it were a lifetime, and to live my whole life in a carefree way as if it were one day.
